Thank you for being so clear about this long historical tragic truth, that due to racism, we continue to have a limited number of black physicians. Your call for a change, now, is necessary and your next steps to confront our system while building and supporting the black youth today is a winning approach.
A great documentary that highlights the need for diversity in medicine, and truly in society at large. I hope the efforts of Black Men in White Coats and other orgnizations dedicated to recognizing and raising up the peoples of the country and world inspire more Trips to aim high and achieve. If one boat floats higher in the sea of life we all float higher.
Timely topic! Highly recommend.
Thank you for creating the opportunity to bring awareness to this tremendous deficit of BMWCs and for a strategy to change this dynamic as well.
I enjoyed watching this video. Although aware of the disparities that exist in the healthcare system it was really good to see that an awareness is being brought to the topic. I believe collectively we need to make young black men extremely relevant to the culture of healthcare and I agree with the speaker who says that there are two conversations that needs to be had. One where we focus on the community and it’s culture and the other where we focus on the systemic structure of how society embraces diversity in healthcare as it relates to young black men. Great video!
