I really loved the movies, I have 3 boys and I am a N.P with a doctorate and still till this day I get treated like I am less than. I preach and teach to my boys daily that they can do anything and start thinking of a job that can help people, especially individuals that look like them. This video was just what I needed to show them that blk people can be successful. Eventhough they see it in their mama, it's different when they see it some where else. This video has left a message and yes I will pass this along. THANKYOU

This NEEDS to be talked about. Not enough black men are going into medicine and it’s alarming. As a black male currently in college, I’ve slowly seen the number of other black males dwindle as I progressed from high school to college. Advancing to professional/graduate school amplifies these trends. During high school, I never considered the importance of diversity. Once I hit college, (my undergrad is 5% black) I truly understood the importance of diversity in education and the workplace. Thank you for creating the documentary. It came at the perfect time

I say amen to this. If we divide the states, each state should have a local chapter of the National Medical Association take the lead in recuriting 20,000 black men to attend medical school. That would give us 1 million medical doctors who are black men. They would represent the majority medical doctors in the US - boosting the NMA membership by 1 million. Less than a decade ago, the US incarceration of blacks were at 2.2 mill.

I truly enjoyed seeing the excellence that is evident within our community...and when I say excellence, we were created great because God made us great! African American professionals must be able to have a platform in every state and community to expose our young people to their full potential. Healthcare is in great need for role models and mentors to path the way for African American men & women! When the glass ceiling is broken, often times African Americans are continuously faced with barriers that are placed before us. However, we must utilize the available resources, obtain knowledge and trust in God to allow us to overcome and to continue being great and victorious. No obstacle can stop us!

Well done documentary. Presents the problem of too few black men in medicine and the ramifications on the health of the African American community. It made me aware of the depth and complexity of this problem.
