This was very eye opening! I absolutely loved it!!
In addition, I like how EVERY review has 5 stars and says something overly positive. This is merely brainwashing at its finest.
This film is just simply racist - period. This is not a "crisis." Whose fault is it? I will tell you whose fault it is - the fact that less blacks are applying to medical school today than they were in 1978 (when the culture was WAY more racist at that time) tells you that it none other than THEIR OWN FAULT. There is no "system" in place today whatsoever that is preventing these people from succeeding in their desired careers.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to watch this documentary, and I hope it is seen nationwide and that medical schools and others continue to strive towards more representation and diversity, for the sake of our patients and every life we strive to save as physicians.
This was excellent!! As a black female physician I known first hand the importance of mentoring. I was mentored and now I am a mentor. As mentioned in the film, mentoring is but one part of the solution but it is an integral part. Kudos to Dr. Dale and colleagues!
